The Women’s Leadership Institute of Baltimore is a department within Notre Dame of Maryland University launched in April 2018. Through innovative and responsive programming, the Women’s Leadership Institute of Baltimore (WLIB) at NDMU will provide enriching opportunities for the Greater Baltimore Community while serving as an engaging resource for students, faculty, staff and alumnae. The mission of WLIB is founded upon recognizing and celebrating the accomplishments of outstanding women while curating workshops for leadership development and convening discussions on issues of gender equality. The institute will offer programming pertinent to the advancement of women meant to inspire action. WLIB is here to promote dialogue. WLIB is here to inspire action. WLIB is here to support YOU. WLIB was rekindled after seeing the resounding success of the WOW – Women of the World Festival Baltimore in 2016 and 2018. Attendees of the festival saw were energized and inspired by the programming presented and NDMU saw a niche to fill in the Baltimore region – answering the demand for events that promoted gender equity and celebrated women and girls as a force for positive change.
