Coco Khmer was founded to provide training, support, and work at fair wages for the community around the Boeung Kak Development Area, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. We employ and support marginalized and displaced families who share our passion and want to improve their socioeconomic position. We chose the coconut because of its incredible versatility, sustainability, and cultural relevance, as well as my personal long-time love of this amazing tree. Coco Khmer is working on developing a symbiotic relationship with Voice, an NGO which has been working with displaced and marginalized urban Cambodians for the past 4 years. Our goal is to provide funding for Voice's humanitarian efforts while alleviating Voice's caseload by employing those who have received assistance from Voice. Our mission is to make high quality coconut-based products which make people feel great, strengthen community, and preserve our natural resources.
