Hornsey Housing Trust provides affordable housing and support services in the London Borough of Haringey that enable older people to live full, independent lives in the community of their choice. Our aim is to meet the current and future needs of older and vulnerable people in Haringey by providing quality homes, excellent, value for money services and placing tenants at the centre of everything we do. We provide both housing and some level of support to a wide variety of people of different ages and from different cultures and ethnic backgrounds, mostly in the Hornsey, Crouch End, Tottenham and Highgate areas of the borough. The Trust was established to support old age pensioners and we have retained our specialism of housing older people: the current minimum age at which someone can be allocated a Hornsey Housing Trust home is 45 and the average age of a Trust resident is 78. A third of our housing stock consists of sheltered housing, offering scheme-based accommodation with on-site support staff and additional services to our more vulnerable residents.
