SkillTree is a new start-up focused on mentoring, career coaching, and Masterclass training for Game Developers. Our industry is evolving fast, with tools, techniques, and processes that quickly become antiquated. SkillTree was created to answer this need and bridge the gap for game developers who want to upkeep their skills, get guidance on their career paths, and be exposed to the latest tech and practices at the cutting edge of our industry. Provided by experts who have shipped several AAA games and have gone through the realities of game production, our mentorships and training are practical and grounded. If you are interested in developing new skills, perfecting existing ones, or reactivating a dormant area of your craft, SkillTree can help. Game companies invest in talent. Many studios offer training and tuition reimbursements. Check with your local HR and Learning and Development department to see if your costs are covered. SkillTree kick-started in July 2021 with a group of great mentors and is committed to expanding the mentoring capacity and range of crafts to adapt to the demand. If mentors are fully booked for a particular month, you can add yourself to the waitlist, and you will be contacted as soon as new slots are open or new options in similar crafts are available. Last but not least, several Masterclasses are in the works, the first of which will be focused on the Art disciplines, with plans to expand our coverage to other job families shortly thereafter.
