Ilves Tampere is a multi-sport club that was founded in 1931 by Niilo Tammisalo. The club has departments in several sports: football, ice hockey, futsal, floorball and ringette. In total Ilves has over 5000 members which makes it the biggest sports club in Finland and one of the strongest brands in Finnish sports. Ilves is a 16 time Finnish hockey league champion. Men’s first team and U20 team are operated by Ilves-Hockey Oy which was established in 2000. Hakametsä arena, the first ice stadium in Finland, has been our home since 1965. UROS LIVE, a new multi-purpose arena dedicated to sports and culture, is currently under construction at a central location in the heart of Tampere.
