The best way to expose students to the possibilities of their future careers is ensuring that mentors in today’s highest growth fields share their experiences and insights. Students need access to financial education and basic business skills in order to navigate our global economy. For many students in the Dallas area, these essential skills are out of reach—not taught in school or by parents at home. Junior Achievement of Dallas has been serving as a conduit to financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship education for 68 years, bringing business and community volunteers in to schools to teach business skills relevant to changing times. Beginning the journey to the next 70 years of impact, our vision is young people will have the skillset and mindset to build thriving communities. During 2022-23, our goal is to ensure 100,000 students gain essential skills to help them navigate the 21st century world of work. Our priorities are to create and inclusive and diverse future workforce; address the racial, ethnic, and gender wealth gap; develop young entrepreneurs, and leverage technology for greater reach and impact.
