ADSI is a research institute focused on the screening and identification of bioactive substances in plant extracts, primarily for their application in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food products. The owner of the ADSI is the University of Innsbruck (100% of shares) and it is supported by the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBFW) and the state of Tyrol. The phytopharmaceutical company Bionorica SE, as well as numerous commercial partners further contribute to the successful development of ADSI. ADSI is located on the University campus in Innsbruck, in the immediate neighbourhood to the relevant institutes of the University of Innsbruck, the University hospital and research enterprises. The ADSI is an integral part of the Austrian research landscape and works closely together with national and international academic institutions, as well as with industrial partners.
