Regional Power, a subsidiary of Manulife Financial, has been in the business of developing, building, refurbishing and operating hydroelectric power plants since 1985. Currently, Regional Power operates nine hydro plants with a total generating capacity of 88 megawatts and has two plants under construction (19 megawatts generating capacity to be completed in 2016). Regional Power is currently expanding its operating and development portfolio to include other renewable technologies including wind and solar.
