As a part of its strategic relationship with WRM and South Waste, Kappa installed a grease trap water processing system in 2016. Kappa provides a valuable recycling service to the Greater Chicago area by providing a geographically favorable location for companies that provide clean out services to restaurant grease traps to safely and cost effective dispose of the materials. As part of this cleaning and recycling process, Kappa provides a steady supply of reclaimed bio-grease material, otherwise known as brown grease, that is sold in the biofuel industry. This system is totally segregated from the processing of acidulated vegetable oil products.
