Being a not-for-profit corporation, First Few Moments, Inc will demonstrate its dedication to the delivery of high-quality educational programs to first responders with focus to those in the rural areas. MISSION, VISION, AND VALUES The First Few Moments(TM) (FFM) will be the leading cross-industry educational series of programs for emergency responders who arrive first on what can be defined as a disaster. Using sound educational principles and various methods of delivery learners will receive the latest and most up-to-date information based on the values of Safety, Management, Triage, and Care. Safety: Every responder will operate in and around the scene with the highest index of suspicion of potential harm. This will be accomplished through an ever-constant situational awareness. Management: Every situation will be mitigated through the establishment and proper use of the incident management structure. Triage: Those that are injured will be triaged and marked as to communicate to other responders the appropriate order of treatment and transport to an appropriate facility via an appropriate method. Care: With few exceptions, only care that is life or limb saving will occur on the scene, interrupt extrication, or delay appropriate transport.
