We are often unfamiliar with the significant challenges in research areas other than our own. For instance, a graduate student in AI may not know the pressing problems in cancer research and vice versa. In addition, seminars and online videos may not deliver the required level of interaction and clarity needed for a newcomer to the field. Hence, our goal is to bring together a diverse cohort of student researchers to discuss their area of scientific expertise in a collaborative environment. Bi-weekly, a group of us graduate students working in various areas of science discuss significant challenges and exciting problems in their respective research areas and how they may use AI to solve these problems.
