FIRST® participants are significantly more likely to attend college, major in science or engineering, and be outstanding future employees and citizens. By investing in Texas students’ participation in FIRST®, we address the growing demands of the STEM workforce. WHO WE ARE With guidance and oversight provided by the FIRST® in Texas Board, we disperse hundreds of thousands of dollars in team grants each year. FIRST® in Texas works closely with FIRST®, which inspires young people to be science and technology leaders by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation and foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership. MISSION FIRST® in Texas’ mission is to increase access to FIRST® programs in Texas. Our vision is that every Texas student has the opportunity to participate in FIRST®Robotics!
