IT Professionalism Europe's (ITPE) Mission is to create and maintain a network of organizations that are committed to furthering the IT profession in Europe. ITPE has was initially started to promote the e-CF, a pan-European standard that has become the common language across Europe for IT competences and skills. As the e-CF has become the standard across Europe it is a strong component of ITPE. IT professionalism encompasses not only the development of competences, skills frameworks, and standards but also key topics such as education and training (certification, qualifications, continuous professional development), professional ethics and bodies of knowledge.
