We are a nonprofit committed to developing a program that will give our youth an opportunity to have positive interactions with officers that can develop into a relationship based on trust and respect. Our project (ProDeck) is developed to be a passive tool that will give officers a giveaway product that will be sought after by the youth in their communities. We are not suggesting that our program alone is going to fix any negative perceptions between the police and the public, rather the ProDeck program will allow the officers to have positive interactions that will allow opportunities to build long lasting relationships.
