Welcome to Hawthorn Leadership School for Girls! Hawthorn is the first public all-girls school in Missouri. We provide middle and high school girls a high quality, college preparatory education with a particular focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). Hawthorn opened in 2015 and graduated our first class of seniors in 2021. Hawthorn is the first school of its kind, an all-girls’ public charter school offering all St. Louis families the opportunity to choose a single-sex school for their middle and high school daughters. Hawthorn provides young women with the academic background, self-esteem, and leadership skills that will enable them to succeed in college and beyond. Our dedication to student advancement, success, and student/parent/guardian support will not waiver during this COVID-19 pandemic and, if anything, will increase as this unique situation demands. Hawthorn teachers and staff remain committed to ensuring the physical, mental, and emotional health of our entire student body.
