Mayworks Festival of Working People and the Arts is an annual multidisciplinary arts festival that celebrates working class culture and all working peoples. Founded in 1986 by the Labour Arts & Media Committee of the Toronto and York Region Labour Council, Mayworks is Canada’s largest and longest-running labour arts festival. The Festival forges new links between artists and workers, encouraging art to inspire labour and labour to incite art.
