ADOTC

www.adotc.de

ADOTC is a start-up with a mission to develop complex, easily operable automation solutions for the textile industry. The machinery and systems manufacturer was founded in Berlin in 2022. What does ADOTC do? We aim to pioneer a paradigm shift in textile production. Our objective is to completely automate textile assembly, i.e. sewing. But this entails more than just moving a piece of fabric from A to B with a robot ("pick & place") and then sewing it. We are rethinking the entire textile production chain to create a fully digitized and automated manufacturing system that runs 24/7/365. To this end, we develop digitally networked robot sewing cells. In future, these will sew clothes and domestic fabrics, medical and technical textiles fully automatically. The ADOTC concept includes all of the components for total automation, from the interface through the robot technology and finally the sensors and grippers. We even integrate an app with dashboards to enable realtime production monitoring. Why does ADOTC want to automate textile production? Textile manufacturers today face many challenges. Two of the most pressing are recruitment of new employees and the scarcity of trained technicians. Automation can help companies maintain production levels and make them more efficient too. But until now, no-one in the textile industry has successfully implemented what has long been standard practice in the automotive or machine building industries, for example: automated assembly of individual parts. The crux of the matter is that textiles are not rigid. Consequently, the material is not dimensionally stable, and it doesn't take much force for the fabric to lose its shape and disrupt the workflow. This is why handling textiles is so much more demanding than aluminum or steel, for example. Total automation of textile production would mean a paradigm shift in the textile industry. And we are working on it. Do you want to learn more? We look forward to your email at info@adotc
