Hydrogen Energy Applications (HYENA) is a South African technology company focused on electrical power generation using hydrogen fuel cells. HYENA has the technology to generate the necessary hydrogen by using local LPG as the hydrogen carrier and thereby eliminating the need for a distinct hydrogen distribution network. The infrastructure for LPG distribution is already in place, making localized power generation with HYENA power packs a reality. The result is affordable, on-demand and weather-independent electrical power from locally available fuel, with 15 % less CO2 than a diesel genset.
