LCC Mall was established in 1945 by businessman Tan Chu Lim and wife Tan Sy Sa as a small store called Liberty Bazaar. The first store was opened in Tabaco City in Albay province. Liberty Bazaar’s steady and dramatic growth through the years paved the way for the company's expansion. The store was later named Liberty Commercial Center Inc. setting up its first LCC branch in 1981 in Legazpi City.
