Boomerangs FS (Futebol Sala) is the Premier Futsal only club for Canberra and the region. Boomerangs FS is affiliated with Capital Football, the governing body for football in the ACT and surrounding regions and offers a unique opportunity for players to play and train weekly under nationally (and some internationally) accredited Futsal coaches. The club also works closely with Capital Football on development pathways for players across both futsal and football. No other club in the ACT offers this opportunity to futsal players. Boomerangs currently boasts some 20+ teams ranging in age from 9/10 year old boys and girls to open age men and women’s teams. Boomerangs FS currently participates locally in the Capital Football Futsal Premier League (Junior Boys and Girls, Youth and Men’s and Women’s), the NSW Premier League competition (nine competitive teams and two development age squads) and in the Australian F-League (Men’s and Women’s) - when this is being run. The majority of the Boomerangs playing roster have represented the ACT at the FFA National Championships and several of the Open Age Men have, in recent times, been selected in the Australian Futsal team - the Futsalroos. For the 2015 and 2016 FFA Futsal National Championships, the ACT was represented by the ACT Boomerangs club. For the men, Boomerangs futsal is a direct pathway to playing for and representing Australia in international competitions.
