API is a not-for-profit that works closely with academic and health institutes across Alberta and Canada. API draws on an interdisciplinary network of over 100 pharmaceutical scientists, clinicians, regulatory, patent, and market experts in a variety of fields and disease areas. API partners with industry in a framework that brings the expertise of Canada’s research institutes together training students on real industry projects, building capacity and a pipeline of talent, and attracts investment. We also provide the services of a pharmaceutical company to researchers and SMEs, delivering expertise in drug development: business, regulatory and patent strategy, regulatory compliant toxicology, synthesis, formulation, PK/PD, and a viable path forward from discovery to successful phase II clinical trials.
