Commanderie de la Bargemone was established in the 13th century by the Templar knights. It lies in the heart of Provence having a proud viticultural history and is one of the benchmark organic estates of the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence appellation. The estate has become known for its high-quality, premium wine production, 90% of which is rosé and 10% is white wine. It has 60 hectares of vineyards, which have been certified 100% organic since 2015, and hold both EU accreditation and the French AB label. It is also one of the Provence appellation’s few organic wines. Vineyards are planted with a diverse range of Provençal grape varieties including: Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Grenache, Vermentino, Sauvignon Blanc and Counoise.
