Cave Cultivated Creations established in August 2017 is now Cool Cave & Company Mushrooms dba C3 Mushrooms (July 2020). We cultivate culinary & functional fungi for the KC Metro area also known as the Heartland. Currently our primary species is Shiitake Mushrooms. C3 Mushrooms are grown in an urban underground cave system that provides the ideal environment for quality cool weather mushrooms. This keeps our energy costs low and allows us to grow consistent quantities year round. Our urban location also provides the opportunity to ensure we are delivering the freshest fungi possible with minimal transportation costs. We primarily sell at the Brookside Farmers Market and will soon be branching out to Parkville Farmers Market. We do local deliveries to individuals who have consistently purchased our mushrooms for several years. In the near future you'll find us collaborating with local restaurants, food trucks, and food producers. We have been fortunate to work with a mentor, Mark Lumpe of Wakarusa Valley Farms, who has over 15 years of experience growing a variety of mushroom species for the Lawrence KS and KC Metro area. His knowledge, experience and support has provided a solid foundation for us to grow into a nationally recognized brand.
