Born out of the World Economic Forum, the Global Shapers Community is a network of young people under the age of 30 working together to address local, regional and global challenges. The Global Shapers Community spans 427 city-based hubs in 148 countries. The Navi Mumbai hub was founded in 2019 by Samar Sikka with a vision to help the local community tackle challenges across Mental Health, Gender Equity, Education and Climate Change. Most recently, we have collaborated with the Government and several other partners on extensive COVID relief efforts distributing food, ration kits, PPEs, and Sanitary pads. Our flagship program, SAHELI (Sanitation, Health Education & Livelihood Initiative), aims to foster women’s health & wellness and economically empower women in low-income communities.
