The International School of Tallinn (IST) is committed to provide a high-quality international education. The language of instruction at the school is English across all subjects. Students also start with Estonian language learning from grade 1 and they choose a third language from grade 3. The school is aiming to provide a full cycle of learning continuum by opening classes at every year level for 3-18 years pupils. Currently Grades 1-8 are opened at IST for 6-14 years old pupils and an international group of 2-5 years old kids at our associated kindergarten Kalli-Kalli. All other classes (Grades 9-12 for 15-18 years old pupils) will be opened in the following years. IST was established with the purpose of providing the IB (International Baccalaureate) programmes at all year levels: PYP (Primary Years Programme), MYP (Middle Years Programme) and DP (Diploma Programme). International School of Tallinn is a candidate school* for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) and pursuing authorization as an IB World School with authorisation of each IB programme according to the opening of subsequent year levels. The International Baccalaureate (IB) enables a smooth continuum of learning across the world and is globally recognised as an entry route to university. At the International School of Tallinn, we believe that every child must feel valued and believe themselves gifted. We nurture these beliefs through our first-rate care and activities. We hold the idea that we are all an intrinsic part of our world and this is expressed through the colours of our school’s logo: navy blue, the colour of our deepest oceans and gold, which mirrors the shining eyes of our inspired children as they are welcomed into school each day.
