Despite the business case for diversity at board level, companies in the UK are yet to capitalise on the competitive advantage that it brings. It is on this basis that BeOnBoard, has been developed to help companies diversify in a way that supports growth and financial prosperity for shareholders and the UK economy as a whole. PROGRAMME AIM & OBJECTIVES The BeOnBoard Programme aims to support businesses and organisations, particularly across the South West of England, to improve the diversity of their Governing Bodies and Boards, specifically providing a pool of competent women and men and women from black ethnic minority (BAME) background. In short, the On Board programme seeks to: ❖ Identify and develop emerging leaders from ethnic minority backgrounds for board positions ❖ Create a diverse and board-ready talent pool for companies in the South West and beyond ❖ Provide a networking platform for potential and existing board members to build relations ❖ Match interested businesses with the required specialist skill sets needed at board level ❖ Support both businesses that are engaged and candidates placed to enhance success TAKING OUR RELATIONSHIP FURTHER We would like to initially explore potential needs for your board on a one-to-one basis and how we can be of support through our programme.
