Square Mile Sport is the owner and organiser of the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay – a unique and exciting 12-race global running series for corporate teams to race around the heart of their city’s financial district before enjoying world-class hospitality and live DJ in the race’s official after-party. Created in London in 2007, the race began its global expansion in 2013 when Singapore became the first city to host the race outside of London, followed by Hong Kong and Shanghai in 2014 and 2015 respectively. The event series is continuing to grow and expand internationally as we create a global race series across some of the biggest financial centres of the world, adding Dubai, Sydney, New York, Tokyo, San Francisco, Sao Paulo, Mumbai, Shanghai and Beijing taking the total number of races to 12! The race now has a global reach beyond any other corporate running challenge with nine countries hosting this unique race which connects key financial districts across the world and allows multi-national companies to challenge not only their closest business rivals but also their own offices in different locations. In July 2020 we launched the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay Virtual Club, an online community where users can take part in free-to-access virtual races and challenges. They compete with and against their colleagues and others in our global community, to unlock up donations for The Extra Mile charities to address the current public health issues in each city.
