McBride Architects has designed residential and institutional projects since 1983. The majority of our work over these twenty-plus years has been custom residential architecture, including the renovation of apartments, lofts, and the construction of new homes, primarily in New York City and New England. Many of our projects are second or third homes for our clients, and many of our clients have come to us for the design of their apartments in New York City, as well as for their summer houses on the coasts of Connecticut, Rhode Island and Maine. We are very pleased that our clients return to us over the years as their needs or their venues change. In addition to our residential work, we have designed a number of institutional facilities for non-profit groups and educational institutions in New York City over the years. More recently, we have enjoyed the opportunity of designing projects for the art community including Alexander & Bonin Gallery, Galerie Lelong, The Studio of Donald Sultan and The Studio of Sean Scully, all in New York City. Two years ago, we completed a private art museum in Pound Ridge, NY for collectors of post-war sculpture and painting. Our work has been published in a variety of periodicals and books including Progressive Architecture, House & Garden, and Metropolitan Home.
