We held Decorah's first ever Pride Festival in May 2018. Decorah is a town of 8,000 people with a significant LGBTQ+ community located in northeast Iowa. The desire to hold a Pride festival came out of a monthly LGBTQ+ social gathering. The 2018 event included a parade, an afternoon Party in the Park event with live music, and multiple evening parties. Planning is already underway for the 2019 festival.
