Our purpose is to provide information, support and resources to faculty and students engaged in professional education programs that lead to New York State initial and professional certification. Our aim is also to work in partnership with faculty colleagues to address program, practice, policy, and research issues relevant to the preparation of teachers and other educational specialists. Our office also supports the work of externally funded programs such as Peace Corps Fellows and Teaching Residents at Teachers College (TR@TC), which focus particularly on recruiting and preparing teachers for high needs schools.
