Music is a form of art, an expression of emotions through harmonic frequencies. Music is also a form of entertainment that puts sounds together in a way that people like, find exciting, or dance to. It surrounds people in their everyday lives. Music has the power to improve and enhance people's lives. It is meant to be consumed, whether it is by the listener, performer, or composer. It is a way to translate feelings and desires that are sometimes difficult to express using language. Badan Semi Otonom (BSO) Band Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia provides a platform for music enthusiasts and creative minds alike, especially people of FEB UI, to explore their interests in music further and implementing music as a means to improve in other aspects of life. Formed in 1999 as a small music community, BSO Band FEB UI, with its signature tagline, "Developing people through music," aims to nurture its stakeholders through the purest form of music. Therefore, through years, BSO Band FEB UI comes up with three fundamental values: education, competition, and celebration. These values stand for the act of professionalism as an organization to actualize the origination of BSO Band FEB UI.
