About The Owners: Brian Bowles and Richard Stein met in 1995 when Brian, who was working with P.B. Dye, was put in charge of the construction of Black Bear Golf Club, a new golf course being built by Richard. A deep friendship was formed based on a mutual love of the game of golf as well as a shared belief of how business should be conducted. Brian, a member of the GSCAA for over 25 years, and Richard, a businessman who had owned golf courses, decided to go into business together in 2005. After two years of looking for the perfect opportunity they purchased ShowTurf in May, 2007. Their idea was simple – drawing upon their experiences as a superintendent and golf course owner they would treat customers in a manner they had wanted to be treated. Priority would be placed on what was truly important to the customer. Service would always be number 1. They would strive to become a true partner to all their customers and their commitment to this philosophy is evident throughout the company.
