MATHCOUNTS is a national enrichment, coaching and competition program that promotes middle school and junior high mathematics. Volunteer members of Engineering Alliance Minnesota (formerly MnSPE) coordinate the program in Minnesota. It is one of the oldest and most successful education partnerships in the country – involving volunteer engineers, educators, industry sponsors and students. In Minnesota, MATHCOUNTS has been reaching out to students and teachers since 1983. Minnesota MATHCOUNTS and its parent organization, Engineering Alliance Foundation Minnesota work together to expand and diversify access to the field of professional engineering. Together, MATHCOUNTS, Engineering Alliance Minnesota and its foundation offer programs spanning the full middle school to career continuum.
