City Pirates is een sociaal voetbalproject in Antwerpen. Als derdeklasser bieden we onze 1100 spelers veel meer aan dan voetbal: persoonlijke ontwikkeling staat centraal! We willen onze jongeren voorbereiden op het echte leven. Via onze huis- en schoolbezoeken verkrijgen we een gedetailleerd beeld van de persoonlijke situatie van elke speler. We kunnen daar perfect op inspelen en helpen waar nodig. De structuur die ze thuis vaak missen, bieden wij aan in de vorm van huiswerkbegeleiding, digitale workshops en andere activiteiten waar persoonlijke ontwikkeling centraal staat. Development of players doesn't end on the pitch, we want to develop them and their families on a personal level. By meetings with schools and by visiting the players at home we have a great view on the personal situation of every player. This gives us the opportunity to give personal assistance. We know that only a really small percentage of young players can become a professional football player. For that reason we insist to help our players on education and job search. We give them home work assistance, we help them with writing their resumé, we connect them with employers...
