Reasons for becoming an editor, translator, text writer, copy writer, language teacher, journalist or writing coach. Or for choosing another profession that centres around language. And yet sometimes, the fun goes out of it a bit. You have to do so much. Writing commercial or informative texts, instructional texts, texts for search engine optimisation and all for demanding readers: customers, subscribers, users, students, pupils, trainees, clients and of course, Google. Writing just for fun? Yes! But when are you supposed to do that? Where do you find the time and how do you stay motivated Prompt! Sharpen your quill Prompt! sends you an email full of inspiration every Friday. It could be a poem, a paragraph from a novel, a short fim, an interview or a song. And it comes with an accompanying creative writing assignment which doesn't necessarily have to take up a lot of your time. It shouldn't take much more than 15-20 minutes although you're perfectly at liberty to spend all weekend working on it if you like. You share the results of your labours on your own Prompt! workspace in Slack or in the closed Facebook group.
