The Greene County Department of Public Health assures a public health system in Greene County with the capacity to improve health status and thereby the quality of life for all citizens by providing: prevention screening, treatment, referral, and education services; access to medical resources not available in Greene County; environmental health services to ensure a safe community; the highest quality of services at their most efficient costs; programs that will promote good health practices by educating the public and keeping the environment clean, healthy and safe; and a forum to strengthen stakeholders, grassroots organizations and other advocates committed to a healthier community.
