Sababa Connect is the brainchild of Alet Brits, born out of the awareness that there are products being used that are either not performing like they should or simply being of a poor design. Alet has a background rooted in Information and Communication Technology and she spent her last Corporate years working for Verifone where she became very involved in payment solutions deployed at Points of Sales through a variety of outlets. When Alet saw some of the issues caused by badly designed or implemented products, she instinctively knew that there had to be a better way. Her quest to finding solutions for this and other similar issues led her to start her own company – Sababa Connect. Sababa has partnered with some of the best industrial design companies, like Denka (www.denka.co.za) as well as state of the art manufacturing companies like ADV Plastics (www.advplastics.co.za) and this partnership led to the design and production of her first product, an integrated support post and cradle for POS card-reading devices. Sababa Connect continues to build on its focus on innovation and many exciting projects are currently being worked on – all of which will ultimately result in functional and efficient devices that are beautifully manufactured and finished.
