The Beehive Hostel
www.the-beehive.comIn 1999 Linda and Steve packed up their apartment in Los Angeles, put all their belongings on a ship headed to Italy, and along with their 2 cats and a Swiss army knife moved to Rome and opened The Beehive. The Beehive was for many early guests a shining beacon of comfort and cleanliness in what was then a dearth of decently run budget accommodation in Rome. The unusual style of The Beehive along with Linda & Steve's sincere helpfulness and profound knowledge of Rome makes it so that they created a unique space that reflects their personalities, personal values, and where their guests can feel at home. They also share the kind of information they hope will help their guests get the most and best out of their time in Rome. The Beehive has always been about people and getting to know others and their stories have always been an integral part of what they do as they believe strongly that shared experiences allow us to connect with each other at a deeper and more meaningful level. Over the years they have become a local community resource, opening their doors to like-minded people and organizations in Rome by creating, hosting, and offering their space and their support for various events, initiatives and projects.
