Woman-owned & Black-owned, MCFT Picnics is a scavenger hunt food tour and luxury pop-up picnic company started by Yawntreshia Coleman. After two back-to-back high risk pregnancies, heart failure, postpartum depression, and COVID-19, Coleman relaunches her food tour business with scavenger hunts and luxury picnics. For over a decade, Coleman has engaged and empowered the community to bring people together with a purpose. From running for local office in 2009, advocating for smoke-free and environmental protection laws with the Lung Association in 2010-2011, graduating grassroots & political leadership programs in 2014, to pitching a City Ambassador Program in 2016, she is a deep-rooted Birmingham advocate. Passionate about the city she lives, Coleman’s mission is to foster enthusiasm, positive community spirit and to market the City's many attributes. In 2017-2018, Coleman committed to one year of voluntary intensive public service at Railroad Park, chaired the health & wellness initiative, Project Yummy, for the Junior League of Birmingham, AND graduated the WOW Ambassador Hospitality Program conducted by the CVB Tourism Department.
