Stunning photographs showing the beauty of the Australian landscape to be displayed on the wall of your home. About me Photography has been part of my life since my teenage years. My uncle had a Pentax Spotmatic and took amazing black and white photos. As a marine biologist, he spent a lot of time in the great outdoors and plenty of his photos were landscape photos. I had found the beginning to a hobby and a lifelong passion. My parents bought me a second-hand Nikomat FT2 for my 16th birthday as a first step on the journey. The rest is, as they say, history. I still have that camera and it still works. My first encounter with professional photography was as an assistant to Tomas Ringqvist & Vänner, one of the most respected commercial advertising studios in Stockholm at the time. Apart from the privilege of working with a seasoned, professional photographer, I had the opportunity to operate the latest Nikon, Mamiya, Hasselblad and Sinar cameras. I learned about lighting, models, processing, studio sets (how to build them and tear them down), film loading, and last but not least how to carry a lot of stuff. While the studio experience laid the knowledge foundation, I soon realised that my passion was landscape photography. I have always been an outdoors person so the leap to landscape photography wasn’t a big one. My work is a mixture of carefully planned and spontaneous photography. Considering the amount of camping and exploring I do with my 4WD, there is no shortage of opportunities to come across fantastic views that lend themselves to great photographs. There is always a camera nearby which means that anything I see can be turned into a piece of art. I hope you love my photographs as much as I do.
