Bioteka – association for promotion of biology and related sciences was founded with the goal of educating and raising people's awareness of biology and related sciences, biodiversity, and protection of nature and environment. Mission: Educating and informing of biology, ecology, nature and environment protection, health, diet, and related topics; promoting science popularization; fighting against passiveness and social ignorance, cooperating with scientists, other experts, organizations from the civil and public sectors as well as the public. Vision: To become the leading Croatian civil society organization in informing and educating people about topics in the field of biology and related sciences. Bioteka is best known for its work on websites www.biologija.com.hr and www.bioteka.hr: It is active in working with young people as a part of its own workshops "Bioteka on the move!" as well as via EU programme Youth in Action (international youth exchanges in Europe); it holds and participates in lectures, seminars, and congresses and also publishes educational comic books, newspaper, leaflets, brochures, and other written materials.
