Kalpavriksha is a social enterprise. The organization Kalpavriksha, the name itself means " A wishing tree"/ represents fulfillment of dreams / turning wishes into reality, helps women to fulfill their dreams of earning an income, learning skills and becoming respected in their communities. It also speaks of its customers who are now able to access life enhancing products in remote rural districts. HOW DO WE DO THAT • We train rural women to become entrepreneurs • We offer high quality life changing products to rural communities • We bring products to the doorstep, providing customers with choice and access they would not otherwise have We sell products through a hyper local distribution network where products are marketed and sold by trusted women who live in the heart of rural communities. The Kalpavriksha’s entrepreneurs run community awareness events to promote the product benefits in terms of health, safety and economic savings. KALPAVRIKSHA is now an International Award Winning Enterprise. Since 2011, its business has grown into an extensive last mile distribution network of 300+ female entrepreneurs selling products in rural districts across Nepal. To date, our network has sold 65,000 clean technology products bringing cleaner and safer energy to rural households. Since 2018 we have added many life enhancing products in out offering basket.
