Furthermore, it is very important to us to guarantee our audience an easy access to classical music, regardless of their education or social background, through our series of special concert formats: amongst others the critically acclaimed “Mittendrin”, where the musicians sit amidst the audience, the open rehearsals of the Konzerthausorchester, moderated by the respective conductor, the Mozart-Matinees with musical childcare or “2x hören ZEITGENÖSSISCH”. The majority of the programs are played by the Konzerthausorchester Berlin. Every season it inspires its audience – among which sit 12.000 subscribers – with more than 100 concerts under the baton of honorary conductor Iván Fischer (Chief conductor 2012-2018), of first guest conductor Juraj Valčuha and in collaboration with numerous renowned guest conductors and soloists. From season 2019/20 Christoph Eschenbach will take over the position of Chief Conductor.
