Australian Rules Football Association of India (ARFAI) is the registered governing body of Australian Rules football in India. Australian Rules Football, AKA Footy/Aussie Rules is a unique Australian sport, played on a cricket oval comprising of two 18-a-side teams fighting for an oval football and scoring through the opponent's goal posts.. A fast-paced, crazy, physical contact sport, which is slowly making inroads to India. The sport which started out from Kolkata, West Bengal in 2008 has slowly made inroads into Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and will soon feature in Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Chattisgarh. ARFAI operates through three programmes viz. 'Social development', 'Education' and 'Regular training sessions' custom made for the participants.
