In 1945, Periklis D. Papageorgiou, born in Constantinople but originating from the historical village Mavrilo near Tymfristos of West Fthiotis, founded his Law Firm in Athens, specialising in Property Law and systematically facing every possible issue concerning real estate. His Law Firm, surprisingly large for its time, successfully handled critical matters for private land owners, deciding the fate of large areas of today's Attica, while offering a practical training ground for a multitude of lawyers, many of who would later make their career in the judicial body. In 1970 the firm included his son, Dimitrios P. Papageorgiou, who very soon started leading his own highly successful law career in the field of business, specialising in tourism and hotels. In 1985, Periklis and Dimitrios Papageorgiou were joined by Irini Papageorgiou; in 1988, the firm became the starting point for the law career of Aristotelis Papageorgiou, while in 2002, the firm was joined by George Anastasiou.
