In January 2018, the teams of TEDxPeachtree and TEDxAtlanta came together to form the new TEDxAtlanta. TEDxPeachtree and TEDxAtlanta are among the few dozen pioneer TEDx groups in the world. Both organized their first event in 2009. Now led by entrepreneur Jacqui Chew, TEDxAtlanta is organized by Ideas into Action, a Georgia-registered nonprofit with the mission to amplify local ideas globally and global ideas locally to propel communities to action through an annual day-long TED-like conference and other interactive experiences throughout the year. TEDxAtlanta is independently organized under license from TED. Events are planned by a dynamic all-volunteer team and receive no financial or editorial support from TED. The annual mainstage event features 18-20 presenters curated from Atlanta and beyond. Talks are between six and 16 minutes across multiple disciplines.
