The Advance Baton Rouge Charter School Association (ABR) is a non-profit charter school management organization (CMO) currently serving more than 1600 students in five open-enrollment, free, public charter schools in the Greater Baton Rouge Area: - Dalton Charter Elementary School - Lanier Charter Elementary School - Glen Oaks Institute of Science - Prescott Business Academy - Pointe Coupee Central High School All five ABR schools implement TAP: The System for Teacher & Student Advancement, a nationally proven, data-driven, school transformation model that puts a highly skilled, highly motivated and competitively compensated teacher in every classroom. ABR offers its teachers highly competitive compensation and other benefits, including: - Multiple career paths & leadership opportunities - Medical, dental, life & long-term disability insurance at no cost to the employee - Contributions by ABR to the Teachers Retirement System of Louisiana & an optional 401K plan - Stipends for master and mentor teachers - Relocation benefits and housing stipends for teachers moving to the area - Incentives for teachers in hard-to-staff subjects - Stipend of $5,000 per year for National Board Certified Teachers - Tuition assistance of up to $600 per class - Supplemental PD in partnersip with Southern Inversity A&M ABR is changing the culture of education in the Baton Rouge area by creating schools of academic excellence through increasing teacher quality and raising student achievement.
