A Mile in Her Shoes (AMIHS) exists to empower women to get moving and find their feet as they move on from homelessness. A Mile in Her Shoes partners with organisations supporting women’s recovery from homelessness to offer fun, friendly and inclusive fitness opportunities across multiple venues on a weekly basis. We strive to enable and empower our membership community to access the same positive mental, physical, health and social benefits of exercise as any other woman. We do this by identifying and removing barriers to participating in physical fitness and wellbeing activities that women experiencing multiple disadvantages (including homelessness) may be facing.
