The Bicester Aerodrome Company oversees aviation operations at Bicester Motion's historic airfield and seeks to encourage a diverse and viable future for this incredible flying field. The aerodrome is a crucial component of the wider project that is Bicester Motion, a destination which celebrates the innovation, community, and experience surrounding mobility. The aerodrome has a long history of flight, some say as early as 1911 when a Bristol Boxkite reputedly landed on the field which became RFC Bicester in 1916 and RAF Bicester in 1918, at a time when aviation represented the height of technology and engineering endeavor. Our home, formerly RAF Bicester, is the best-preserved WW2 Bomber Station of its kind in the UK. As custodians of this magnificent aerodrome, our restoration and regeneration journey began in 2013. In just a few short years we have transformed fifty historic buildings, created the first Centre of Excellence for the historic motoring industry, and grown a series of sell-out automotive events in our Heritage Quarter. Bicester Motion is driven to deliver an attraction without equal, providing multiple family-friendly activities, with a strong focus on automotive and aviation experience. Our beautiful location will offer guests the chance to immerse themselves in the breadth of British automotive and aviation culture and technology, arranged over four hundred acres, visitors to our setting will be able to actively explore the open parkland, beautiful lakes and winding nature trails which will surround our unique destination.
