The National Institute for Earth Physics (NIEP) operates a real-time seismic network designed to monitor the seismic activity on the Romania territory.The primary goal of the real-time seismic network is to provide earthquakes parameters for more broadband stations with high dynamic range waveform data in order to compute more rapidly and with better accuracy the location and magnitude of the earthquakes.
